Chapter book
Drandar the Dragon Knight
A dragon. A knight. And a code worth more than either of them.
About the Book
Kids who are past picture books but not ready for anything heavy tend to fall into a gap, and the books sitting in that gap are often either forgettable or hollow. This one has actual stakes.
Drandar's story is an adventure first. There are quests, there is danger, and there are choices that cost something. Underneath the adventure is a question kids are already asking, which is what kind of person am I going to be when it's hard and nobody is watching.
No moral gets stapled to the last page. The story does the work.
