It has been a LOOOOONG time coming, but I finally put together the list of chapter book and novels for kiddos from first through twelfth grades that I’ve vetted. They either support a historical Christian worldview or don’t contradict it. Of course, as we get into the upper grade levels, some of them open up important conversations about other worldviews, but they are not teaching those ideas as something to be embraced. I could have added a zillion more, especially when it comes to classic literature, but I decided just to give you a list of over 100 books that may or may not be in your literature curriculum. I included some lesser-known authors that I love and think your children will love as well.
If you have questions about any of the books I’ve included, feel free to reach out. You can leave a comment in the comment section at the end of this post, and I’ll answer your questions there.
Download the list here! And happy reading!

You may also be interested in joining our literature challenge: Literature Discipleship with the hashtag #litdisciples. Yes, we know it’s a funny hashtag, but hey, it’s memorable. 🙂 You can check that out here.
In the challenge, you are given five weeks of tasks that help bring discipleship into your literature lessons, and if you take a picture and post it with the hashtag each week, you will get a free 30-minute one-on-one with me to discuss any question or problem you have with discipling your kids or teaching them literature.
Each challenge should enrich your reading and literature time in your family whether you homeschool or not. So, check it out, and we hope to see some awesome posts on Instagram!
