Small Kids, Small Talk Returns May 14-June 18, 2023

I’m so excited to offer daily texts again this year. We try to do these texts during the busiest times of our year.

Why Now?

“Why during the busiest times? I mean, don’t we have enough to deal with right now?” you may ask.

Well, it’s during these busy times that we sometimes need reminders and easy ways to stay connected with our families. We can slip into information-sharing mode and not really hear our kids’ hearts and concerns with all we have going on. These texts, hopefully, will give us all a few minutes a day to truly connect to each other and disconnect from the craziness of the end of the school year/beginning of summer schedule. Our hope is that these will be a small catalyst to help us finish the school year strong!

What are Small Kids, Small Talk Texts?

They are daily texts, one in the morning with a prayer prompt for your family, and one in the afternoon/evening to spark a small discussion. Fridays the children get to make up their own question they have for us. Each week we also have a reminder of our two memory verses. Those are in the Sunday texts. Saturday reminds you to share your verses with each other.

We send them when we do so that you can use them while you drive to and from activities or can share them around the breakfast or dinner table.

There is no cost for signing up. Cancel any time if they aren’t what you expected. The texts go from Mother’s Day to through Father’s Day (May 14-June 18). After that, you won’t hear from us again unless you confirm you want to take part the next time we offer the texts — usually around Thanksgiving/Christmas – when else! 🙂

Praying for You and Your Kids

Beyond the texts, we are also offering prayer for you and your family. We believe prayer is one of our privileges as a child of God. We feel blessed to pray for you. You can join our Facebook group and share there, or you can post your requests here. If you wish to keep it private, let me know. I approve all posts on here, so I can see it and not post it if you need it to be kept private, but know that we will be praying. If you wish for others to pray as well, we can post it publicly. Just specify if you want your request to be public or private.
